The Timeless Principles of Sigma Chi are rooted in our college experience and, carry us through life, and inspire our ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT.    

During the early 1970s, Significant and Life-Loyal Sig John "Duke" Wayne SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA 1929 (Oscar winning actor & Arizona farmer-rancher) served as V.P.-Membership for the Los Angeles Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter.  From his office on Wilshire Blvd., he regularly telephoned brothers from the L.A. alumni list getting them to the monthly alumni luncheons.  The adjacent photo shows him visiting the Mausoleum of 1st Grand Consul of Sigma Chi John S. McMillin DEPAUW 1876 at the Roche Harbor Cemetery on San Juan Island, Washington, one of fourteen official Sigma Chi Memorial Sites.
